Shema Israel/The Fallen is a powerful installation of cast beeswax figures commemorating each fallen soldier since the start of the October 7th war. The wax candle figures of the fallen soldiers are lined up on burlap fabric. At the tragic news of each passing fallen soldier a new figure is cast and added to the installation, creating a moving and poignant display. The silent tribute is a moving reminder of the sacrifices made in war. Off to the side of the installation stands a single lit soldier, a slow burning candle, a remembrance to those who have passed.
The exhibition started with 176 wax figures, and tragically, by the end of the month, the number had increased to 219.
